Bringing Mindfulness To The Corporate World
Studies have proven that Mindfulness concepts practiced regularly can create a more positive workplace atmosphere. Apple, Google, Target, Intel, and General Mills have all turned to mindfulness training for their employees in order to boost creativity, mental clarity, and focus and ultimately increase profits.
For over a decade, I’ve been practicing and teaching mindfulness. Trained as an educator, I worked in the school system for 16 years and saw first-hand how mindfulness improves morale, effort, and satisfaction in the workforce. At times I felt a huge amount of anxiety because of workplace interpersonal challenges. Mindfulness taught me how to deal with my emotions so that I could be a positive influence on others.
Workplace bullying was common. Students were being bullied and these incidents were being swept under the carpet. As I became more skilled, I was the one to help others through some of these same challenges.
Now corporations and smaller businesses hire me to improve their employee work-life balance and resilience skills.
